Read this news recently and the whole hul-chal about it on Glen Beck.. who apparently has taken Weed and latter got out of it…..There was this talk about $ amounts that could be gained and how much each state can add to their coffers to make them more heavier. (if they could legalise and tax them). Of course the whole talk about RESPONSIBLE ACTION (one most often abused WORD).
If alone California gets its way in this centuries old debate, floodgates will be open.
Speaking for the people who want to legalize, well to their credit, if alcohol and smoking nicotine is fine why not great Taboo herb. At the cost of sounding clichéd “people can think and make decisions for themselves” if they want to do something its no business of any uncle Sam or any Gov to tell them what not to do.
On the other hand - You certainly don’t want the streets to be peppered with blood shot eyed, dazed “dudes and dudets” and getting a free pass of temporary insanity for what they do “under the influence”
I strongly believe in “there are consequences for every action”. Indeed if there are any for the great Weed, who bears the consequences. YOU, ME or those who don’t use the Big M.
At the end of the day to me certain things may be centuries old temptations and they are best left as temptations and not a legal temptations. For one thing I kn for sure – LAW enforcement has its price to pay too, why add to the load which we already are carrying.
What do u think???

we are all born on this earth to learn our lessons. As long as we are not harming anyone else, what we do with our lives should be our own decision, not the governments...
ReplyDeleteover eating is also harmful to health, now is the government going to come up with a law that makes it illegal for someone to stuff himself with 'too much' food?
where does this policing end? whether I want to smoke or drink is really not anybodys business... if there is one thing that needs to be Illegalized, it is this 'moral policing'...
-Vinayak (Raghu)
Moral policing -new one!! Agreed... I feel there most of us need a feeilg of having a rein over us - else we tend to act - let us say - more in tune with our NATURAL self..
ReplyDeleteNew york is almost on the verge of passing legislation letting ppl know what they can drink and eat - their health bill is going through the roof
